Lannie Garrett’s Hilarious "Patsy DeCline Show!"
This hit show has become an annual Denver tradition.
Lannie Garrett returns to star in her tongue-in-cheek spoof of all the big haired Country queens of the ’50s and ’60s. This is NOT a Patsy Cline tribute, but a rollicking, rawhide celebration and tease of everything Country!
Lannie created the “Patsy” character as a joke during one Stock Show season, and has been performing “The Patsy DeCline Show” to sold-out crowds ever since. The show is a spoof on everything country fans hold sacred. Patsy DeCline (not to be confused with a gal with a name very similar to hers), is a mixture of Loretta, Kitty, Dolly, and all the other big-haired country babes we know and love.
Patsy is backed by her devoted band, The Lazy Boy Rockers, one of the hottest pedal steel-driven bands around. The show includes riotous comedy songs and stories and features music by legends such as Merle Haggard, Bob Wills, Lefty Frizzel, George Jones, Tammy Wynette and more.
Garrett turns into her alter-ego, “Patsy,” with a wig as big as a red tumbleweed, spangled rodeo queen costumes, and an hysterical history of husbands, hits, and hell on the road.
THE CRITICS RAVES
“The Patsy DeCline Show is a glorious romp, resplendent with rodeo queen costumes, spangles and a wig as big as a tumbleweed. Garrett is backed by her incredible, authentically country, 5-piece pedal steel driven band (The Lazy Boy Rockers). They will rip and roar their way through some of country’s all-time favorite chart toppers. As Patsy, Lannie will get the crowd rolling in the aisles with her irreverent take on all country holds sacred. Four Stars!” – The Rocky Mountain News
“This show is more fun than a sack of greased pigs.” – The Denver Post
“This show serves the audience the whole enchilada. Garrett is glib, glam and never more fun. The show is aglow with rodeo-queen costumes and about as good as it gets musically.” – The Rocky Mountain News
“…delighting fans with her raunchy take-off on the big hair breed of C&W singers…In between her clowning, fans get to hear a voice good enough to make the charts if anyone had the sense to sign Lannie up for real.” – The Rocky Mountain News
“Laugh all you want…this woman can sing.” – The Rocky Mountain News
“If you love country music, you’ll love this show…if you hate country music, you’ll love this show.” – The Denver Post
