Shann Carr: The Gay Man’s Lesbian Comic! Hilarious!
Sunday, July 11th at 7:30 pm
“…sidesplitting, bright and refreshing comedy.”
“She’s witty, she’s wonderful, she’s the gay man’s Lesbian!”
After 10 years at sea with gay men on Atlantis vacations, comedian Shann Carr is going to run aground on Sunday, July 11th at Lannie’s.
Comedian Shann Carr has got that “something.” A little makes you want more and more makes you happy. Shann is a hysterical, 45 year old lesbian who makes you want to adopt her, prop her up on a stool and make her tell you stories. From International Ms. Leather to The Bear Rendezvous, from The Michigan Women’s Music Festival to years of performing on cruise ships, this lesbian has seen more than any girl should ever have to know! And she may use it against you.
Her production company, The GirlMoxie Studios in Palm Springs, recently produced an exciting Gay TV Week, a gay commercial making contest, a series of live events, laser parties and a worldwide New Year’s Eve event called “Kiss Now It’s Midnight Somewhere!” Carr’s got her hands in everything. Voted one of the top 10 Lesbian Comedians by Curve Magazine’s readers, in 2008 Shann published the book “You’re Going To Be Gay,” a funny look at flaming childhood photos. She released her own DVD “Some Of My Best Stuff” in 2009.
Recently GirlMoxie released “Out for Laughs – On the Ocean” a docu-comedy that follows three comedians, a drag queen, a piano player and a hypnotist working and frolicking on the gay cruise ship circuit. In addition to jonesing for her road-tour, Carr is looking forward to producing the pilot for a same-sex dance show called “Dance Your Fancy-Pants Off” this year.
“She’s witty, she’s wonderful, she’s the gay man’s Wesbian!” raved Elmer Fudd. With 20 years of gay stand up experience, comedian Shann Carr weaves a storytelling style that will make you feel like you’re sitting in your living room with an eccentric friend who has your whole dinner party in stitches.
