Comedy Superstar – Roseanne – Comedy with a Cause Fundraiser – SOLD OUT!

July 31, 2013
8:00 pm

Comedy superstar, award-winning actress, best-selling author, recent presidential candidate and the original domestic goddess, Roseanne, returns to Denver (from her sell-out performances in Las Vegas) for a rare and intimate night at Lannie’s.

Roseanne will pull out the stops as only she can with her outrageous stand up comedy show.  As controversial, original and funny as ever, Roseanne unleashes her razor sharp observations on hypocrisy, class warfare, feminism and the cult of celebrity, as well as her musings on menopause, dieting, pharmaceuticals, her grand kids and other humorous topics of everyday life.

This rare and wonderful one-night-only event will help raise funds to build culturally sensitive homes for those in need on the Pine Ridge and Rosebud Indian Reservations.  Also on the bill will be singer and this cabaret’s namesake, Lannie Garrett and talented Lakota performers straight from the reservation (expect some surprises along the way!).

Please be part of the change and help an incredible community get back on its feet.

The night will also include a unique silent auction items including jewelry and unique offerings from local Denver businesses.

About Roseanne Bold and brash, witty and insightful, Roseanne has been named one of the greatest stand-ups of all time by Comedy Central, and her namesake show was one of the highest-rated TV sitcoms of its era running for nine years winning countless awards including an Emmy and a Golden Globe for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, four People’s Choice Awards, and numerous other accolades.

About the Lakota and our cause: The Lakota People have an environmentally sustainable societal structure and tradition based on the strength of community and family, but they also live in a community with 80% unemployment, pine beetle damaged trees, and a huge housing shortage.  To combat these challenges, The Buffalo Boy Foundation has helped create a logging business to re-utilize the damaged pine beetle trees on the Pine Ridge and Rosebud Indian Reservations to reduce their unemployment rate, create jobs move and begin their move from poverty to prosperity, but they need your help to continue their journey.

Please join us for this great cause!

The Buffalo Boy Foundation
Tatanka Hoksila /The Buffalo Boy Foundation is a non profit organization based in Colorado and South Dakota that is striving to share the rich Lakota culture, provide sustainable employment opportunities for those living with a 70-80% unemployment rate, and build homes for thousands in need on the Lakota reservations.

Goals already reached: In early 2012, we created a logging job training program that re-utilizes the devastated local pine beetle trees for home building purposes.  Over 5500 trees are currently ready to create new housing.  The University of Colorado School of Design and Architecture will be helping to design culturally sensitive homes.
The South Dakota National Guard has signed on to aid in the transportation of the logs from the logging sites to Pine Ridge, and over 300 people have volunteered to aid in the construction of the first home in Spring 2014.
All we need now are funds to help build our first 20 homes.  Please help us rewrite the Pine Ridge story from one of poverty to one of prosperity.
To support this amazing cause and to find out where you can join them on their journey please contact them and like their FB page at
