Phil Putnam is “The Daddy Show”

ONE MAN ONLY…ONE NIGHT ONLY…SO, SUCK IT, DREAMGIRLS!

Nationally-renowned Singer/Songwriter Phil Putnam makes his Denver debut for ONE NIGHT ONLY at Lannie’s on June 21st with “The Daddy Show”. After all, June 21st is Father’s Day. Celebrate all the Dads, Daddies, Fathers, and Father Figures in your life as Phil puts on a sensational one-man show with his voice, piano, and original songs. This event will benefit the Matthew Shepard Foundation…all the more reason to bring your friends and do it up Daddy Style.

Phil’s piano-based singer/songwriter tunes and quarky, easy presence places him comfortably in the company of Artists like Elton John, David Gray, Ben Folds, and Tori Amos. Having released 6 albums since his 2001 debut, he’s a busy guy, and many people before you have been foolish/kind enough to listen and ask him to make more music. His latest album, “Casualties”, released in November 2008 and since has spread like shiny, shiny fire across the US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, and many other countries with excellent taste in music and access to iTunes. Most recently seen on MTV/LOGO’s Click List Top 10 Video Countdown, his Number 1 hit video “More Than This” is running the show as the longest running video in Click List History. In addition to topping the chart, “More Than This” has been in the Top 5 for all but one of the 20-plus weeks that it has been on the countdown. That’s what tv-types call a juggernaut. It’s awesome, so you should go watch the video and feel the awesomeness.

Underneath all the music business glitz and glamour, Phil wants what everyone else wants: ice cream. And when he’s done with the ice cream, he wants to make a genuine and lasting contribution to the lives of those around him. Since ice cream only goes so far, due to the melting, he uses music to make a difference, and so far that’s worked out well.

**Disclaimer: Phil Putnam is not as funny in concert as he is in this Bio. He is actually quite dull. Bring a book. Perhaps something by Nicholas Sparks, or some unfinished Mad Libs. Also, he is never, ever sarcastic.

“Putnam is a comfortable story-teller behind the mic, his easy sounding voice the perfect instrument to deliver his smart, heartfelt lyrics.” – Wildy’s World

“Straight-ahead pop-rock sung with passion, wit, and intelligence.” -David Hurst, NEXT Magazine

“Phil has one of those voices that can sing just about everything and make it sound good.” – Andrew Guy, Mossip.com

“Any musician who looks like an adorable, mature version of Buddy Holly is a must-see on our calendar. Phil Putnam radiates energy in person and on stage, singing a mix of folksy blues rock. Plus he is just so damn cute.” -H/X Magazine
