Chris Daniels & the Kings are quite simply Colorado legends. The tight horn band plays an infectious blend of Funk, R&B and Swing with Chris Daniels at the helm keeping the party going. The seven piece band, called “funky-blues” by the Europeans, is an all out “horn band” celebrating 25 years of making great R&B, funk, “jump blues” and rock n’ roll. They have been compared to Little Feat, “John Hiatt meets Tower of Power” and “Keb Mo with horns.”

Chris Daniels & The Kings’ credits and kudos are endless: Chris Daniels has served as musical director when the Kings backed Francine Reed, The Coaster, Drifters, Platters, Bo Diddly, Was Not Was, Mary Wilson, Bonnie Raitt, Percy Sledge, solo members of Little Feat, Sam Bush, John Cowan and so many others.

They have toured over two continents and have appeared with the B.B. King, Uncle Cracker, Blues Traveler, The Neville Brothers, Delbert McClinton, Sister Hazel, Sheryl Crow, Robert Cray, Taj Mahal, Al Kooper, Bonnie Raitt, Ziggy Marley, The Fixx, and many more!

“Breathes there a man or woman with a soul so dead as to never have craved a fix of good, old-fashioned, honest-to-God live horns … one of the few acts with enough brass in its Gorgonzolas to hit the road as a full-fledged horn band.” – BILLBOARD

Colin “Bones” Jones, lead guitar
Randy Amen, drums, vocals

PORTION OF TONIGHT’S PROCEEDS WILL HELP WITH FREDDY GOWDY’S MEDICAL BILLS
Singer/Entertainer Freddy Gowdy (Freddi-Henchi Band) had to have emergency surgery to remove some cancerous tumors last week. He is now recovering nicely, albeit “uncomfortably” in a cast and crutches.  He is doing well and the cancer is NOT life threatening, but of course, surgery and hospitals ain’t cheap.

So….we want you to know that by supporting this Chris Daniels and the Kings show tonight, you will be helping Fred as a portion of tonight’s proceeds will go to help Fred’s medical expenses.

For a mere $16.00 you not only get a great show you do a great deed!
