WITH Singer/Entertainer Freddy Gowdy (Freddi-Henchi Band)
Chris Daniels & the Kings are quite simply Colorado legends. The tight horn band plays an infectious blend of Funk, R&B and Swing with Chris Daniels at the helm keeping the party going. The seven piece band, called “funky-blues” by the Europeans, is an all out “horn band” celebrating over 25 years of making great R&B, funk, “jump blues” and rock n’ roll. They have been compared to Little Feat, “John Hiatt meets Tower of Power” and “Keb Mo with horns.”
Chris Daniels & The Kings’ credits and kudos are endless: Chris Daniels has served as musical director when the Kings backed Francine Reed, The Coaster, Drifters, Platters, Bo Diddly, Was Not Was, Mary Wilson, Bonnie Raitt, Percy Sledge, solo members of Little Feat, Sam Bush, John Cowan and so many others.
“Breathes there a man or woman with a soul so dead as to never have craved a fix of good, old-fashioned, honest-to-God live horns … one of the few acts with enough brass in its Gorgonzolas to hit the road as a full-fledged horn band.” – BILLBOARD
