More Insights from the Aging Trail.
Written & performed by Paula Jayne Friedland
Musical arrangements & accompaniment:
Pianist – Eric French
No matter what your lifestyle, your worldview, or the amount of plastic surgery you’ve had, you—like everyone else—must pass through that doorway called AGING. The only question is, how will you deal with it?! Whether you move through that passageway with gentle grace, steely resignation, or have to be dragged kicking and screaming, this show is for YOU.
In this continuation of her SOLD OUT, one woman show, AGING, The Musical, Paula uses song and story to explore this daunting subject, uncovering new perspective along the way. In this updated rendition, you’ll get a refresher on the original material, a dose of some new insights, plus some new songs, all in service to this ongoing journey of Aging. You will laugh. You will cry. And, you will be uplifted and inspired to live fully now, no matter your age.
Paula Jayne Friedland earned her degree in music before moving to New York City, where she spent 13 years working in professional theatre. She toured Europe in the Broadway musical, HAIR and played leading roles in productions of A CHORUS LINE, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, HELLO DOLLY and SIDE BY SIDE BY SONDHEIM. She has performed in Denver productions including the ensemble revue, TOM FOOLERY at the Denver Victorian Playhouse, which won the 2011 Marlowe Award for Best Ensemble. Additionally, she and fellow writer and performer, Janine Gastineau have co-written three original Stephen Sondheim revues: OUR TIME as well as ART ISN’T EASY, which is returning to Lannie’s on September 7th. The new revue, LOVE, MARRIAGE AND OTHER NATURAL DISASTERS will premiere at Lannie’s in November.
