International Blues Diva: Candye Kane & Band ONLY $10

March 19, 2013
7:30 pm

Join us for a very special night for only $10!

The return of one of the greatest living blues singers in the nation.

Seven time National Blues Awards nominee, Candye Kane has been called a survivor, a superhero and the toughest girl alive.  Her eleventh CD release, Sister Vagabond, was released on August 16, 2011 on Delta Groove Records and was #1 on the Living Blues Charts and on Sirius/XM Radio for two months.  Kane was nominated for the BB King Entertainer of the Year Award and Best Contemporary Blues Female for 2012.  Sister Vagabond was self produced by Kane and her noted guitarist Laura Chavez.  Many critics say that it is Kane’s finest work to date and unanimously agree that it is a worthy successor to their 2010 collaboration, Superhero, nominated for Best Contemporary Blues CD along with many other honors.

A fighter par excellence, Candye’s authenticity, determination and optimism keep her shows passionate, honest and irresistible.  One evening with Candye will keep the crowds happy, hopeful and coming back for more!

The Kinsey Sicks – Dragapella Beautyshop Quartet – “Chicks with Shticks” (new show!)

Nationally Renown singers, humorists, and writers.

THE KINSEY SICKS, America’s Favorite Dragapella Beautyshop Quartet presents a night of brilliant parody and all in perfect 4-part harmony!

If you haven’t heard or experienced The Kinsey Sicks, don’t miss their much anticipated return to Lannie’s with their newest show, “Chicks with Shticks.” This hilarious, nationally renown, a cappella singing quartet will amaze you with their vocal ability and have you gasping in awe at their over-the-top naughty comedy antics. They are brilliantly clever as they re-work and parody well-known songs with their special brand of campy presentation.

The Kinsey Sicks’ latest and greatest dragtastic a cappella musical, “Chicks with Shticks” is a collection of new songs which is an equal mix of appalling original songs and unforgivable parodies of such favorites as, “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,” “A Whole New World,” “What Does the Fox Say?,” a Carole King number, two Grammy award winning hits, “Happy” and the Disney sensation, “Let it Go,” and of course, the Gershwin classic, “I’ve Got Plenty o’ Nuttin.’

In other words, this show has something to mortify everyone! PLUS, the audience has the special privilege to shape the show for the next audience. That’s right, it’s up to YOU to determine which songs are so outstandingly bad that the next audience should not see them! Come enjoy the show and judge whether a song lives OR dies!

THE KINSEY SICKS have written and performed scores of musicals, starred in their own Off-Broadway show at New York’s legendary Studio 54, toured internationally, recorded eight albums and been the subject of two feature films.

REVIEWS
