The Mother Folkers (the most carefully pronounced name in show business) are a gang of gals that have been packing Colorado concert halls and nightclubs for over 25 years.
Known affectionately as the “MOFOS,” these gals offer up tight (and beautiful) vocal harmonies, superb musicianship and a GREAT live show. Their performances are diverse and eclectic as they swing, bop, pop, croon, and belt through a repertoire of songs from Motown to DooWop, Gospel, Celtic, Blues and more. You’ll be treated to mostly original songs written by the band members themselves and you’ll also hear favorites by Joni Mitchell, Marcia Ball, James Taylor, Michelle Shocked, Sweet Honey in the Rock, and much more.
Each musician leads a song and creates their own unique arrangement AND these gals play instruments to boot! Saxophone, mandolin, stand-up bass, hammer dulcimer, guitar, harmonica, banjo—
COME ON! This is real deal talent!
After a 10 year hiatus, the MOFOS are back as strong as ever. They’ve been selling out concerts across the front range and now we have ‘em for ONE NIGHT ONLY at Lannie’s.
You will love their charisma and sense of fun and we promise they will have you stomping your feet and clapping along–they’ve been known to bring audiences to their feet over and over again.
THE MOFOS ARE:
and daughter of original member, Kathi DeFrancis, daughter (DoFo!) Angie DeFrancis
