NGLTF’s Policy Institute, the movement’s premier think tank, provides research and policy analysis to support the struggle for complete equality and to counter right-wing lies. Rocky Mountain Ringers “Big Bell Bash”

Sunday Sept 20th 2PM

Friday Sept. 25 8PM

When you hear the words “handbell concert” what do you imagine? Aunt Martha’s church group? Well, the Rocky Mountain Ringers are not your typical handbell ensemble and our featured concert this fall is not your typical handbell music.

Rocky Mountain Ringers’ “BIG BELL BASH” will make you want to get up and dance. We are performing classic hits from the Big Band through the 60’s rock era, including “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy”, “Misty”, “Good Vibrations” and many more. We take these songs into a whole new listening and visual experience!

This concert will show case some of the most difficult handbell music currently available, all performed by local musicians. The music comes alive with 13 octaves of bells, 7 octaves of chimes and a lively group of 14 performers. This is something that you must see in person, you will not believe your eyes or ears!
Come out and enjoy the fun. The Rocky Mountain Ringers aren’t a jazz band but as Glenn Miller once said, “I haven’t a great jazz band, and I don’t want one.”

Ruby Ann Boxcar’s Great Big After-Church Sunday Social

Ms. Ruby Ann Boxcar, ( author of eight bestselling books, temptress of song, and international TV/radio personality) will be bringing her unique brand of humor to Lannie’s in a brand new weekly variety show entitled Ruby Ann’s Great Big After Church Sunday Social. Ms. Boxcar, whose antics have been seen on such programs as Fox and Friends, The Today Show, and Oprah, says that the one thing Denver has been sorely missing is the southern tradition of gathering together each Sunday afternoon with friends, family, and, “Whoever your 67 year old drunken stripper sister happens to be datin’ that week,” for laughter, singing, and even some cooking lessons and crafts. These afternoons at Lannie’s will have an ever-changing line-up of local talent, musical selections and activities, and are sure to fill that void, and she promises that it will be more fun than, “Watchin’ Kirstie Alley tryin’ out wicker furniture!” Because of this Ruby Ann suggests that you’ll never know who might be in the audience. “I’ve got a lot of celebrity friends both locally and in Hollywood where I keep a single wide trailer, and they’re always lookin’ to rub elbows with folks at my shows.”

Ruby Ann Boxcar, who has been called a cross between “Martha Stewart and Larry the Cable Guy”, has delighted audiences across the United States, Canada, and even as far off as Australia and the UK with her one woman show Double-Wide, and has become a Friday staple on Denver’s #1 country station KYGO with her live segment Ruby Ann’s Big Ass-trological Weekend Outlook. Her newest book Simple As My Niece, Easy As My Sister Wedding Planner hits stores in 2010.

Judy Tenuta: Aphrodite of Accordion & Comedienne

A favorite at Lannie’s. She’s bold, bawdy and we loved her!

The stand-up comic/actress who describes herself as a “multi-media Bondage Goddess” and “the Aphrodite of the Accordion”, is actually a caring nurturer who wakes up at 8PM to verbally abuse countless herds of mortal swine (her audience) and converts them to her signature religion “Judyism”. Her fans ranging from fetuses to fossils, gays to geishas, all beg to chew her gum and kiss her feet because she is the only fun-feminist who preaches that all women should be worshipped as “Love Goddesses”, and all men have an equal opportunity to become her furniture…..It could happen!

She was the very first stand-up to win “Best Female Comedian” at the American Comedy Awards. That same year she became the national spokesperson for a series of Diet Dr. Pepper commercials where she proclaimed “You can’t get a body like mine in a bottle unless you push real hard.”
Judy has starred in her own HBO, Showtime, and Lifetime Specials and has been seen on every major talk show. Most recently she was a special correspondent for “American Journal”, and “Entertainment Tonight,”where she conducted interviews with such celebrated public figures as Donald Trump and Reverend Jesse Jackson.

Judy has also had two smash comedy CD’s and has been nominated twice for Grammy Awards for her “Attention Butt-Pirates and Lesbetarians”, and “In Goddess We Trust”. She is also the author of “The Power of Judyism” (Harper-Collins).
Judy has produced and starred in her own feature film, “Desperation Blvd.” A romantic comedy about a former child star who stops at nothing to make a comeback. This hilarious but touching film costars Academy Award nominated actor Michael Lerner, Erin Moran, Will Shriner, and Weird Al Yankovic.
Some of her recent roles include…
An ex-show girl turned wedding chaplain on “General Hospital”
A self-absorbed group therapist in the indy film “10 Attitudes and a Date”
A small but pivotal role as the genteel trailer trash cat lady in the upcoming Hilary Duff film “Material Girls”

ONE NIGHT ONLY, 7pm & 9pm
